A little history …
Free Giftcards have been available on the Internet for years. At first, the rewards were mainly laptops & PC hardware and the requirements of the program for the rewards were often quite ridiculous. As the U.S. government became more aware of the scams and dirty practices a variety of sites offering free card programs have adapted.
Today the requirements are in writing and in advance. Offers on the requirements of program are often less than I expect of gift cards as large as $ 1000. And the government is more able to punish any other wrong doers.

Today there are many of Walmart Gift Card offers on the web. All Walmart deal I have seen are cousins for 2 offers I evaluated / analyzed. The classification system uses an algorithm to compare the value of the bid to the number of Silver, Gold-level requirements and platinum. Most offer receive 3 stars because they are in or near the average. Offers that are well above average gets 4 stars and offers that get 5 stars are truly remarkable. Similarly, with an offer of 2 stars, or even 1 is an offer which is probably not worth continuing.
The free offers Walmart gift card ($ 500 and $ 1000) are exceptional. The right of the average offer free giftcard now is very good and the program requirements, while tedious, are not very expensive or difficult to meet.
