Vermont Green Party Vermont Progressive Party VS!?
I'm new to Vermont and want to become more involved with local and state politics. I want to be affiliated to the party with either green or progressive parties. I am completely removed with the Democratic Party! I've been looking at sites on both sides and can not find differences between the two question. It seems that only emphasize the same positions. Does anyone know the big differance? However, the Progressive Party seems to be more organized. Could someone please break it down that has extensive knowledge in this? Thank You! Thanks Agnes! I have a feeling that this will be the response that will receive more Yahoo'ers. I will contact both parties to get a straight answer! I just wish I became a citizen informed earlier rather than wait until about 2 years!
Okay, honestly here is what will happen. A lot of people are going to throw up a lot of political rhetoric one way or another and you is not going to get a real answer. Vermont is a very small state, I suggest you call each office parties and arrange a meeting with a representative. Ask them as they will represent their ideals, what their platform is and how they will achieve. Small parties as they will be happy to meet with individual citizens. I would also say that it is very refreshing to see someone putting so much thought into your party affiliation, I wish more Americans would do the same. Good Luck!
